Where will my session take place?

Angela Blake Studios is a private, 1300 sqft., in-home studio in Rogers, AR. Currently, we have three natural light sets, a classic bedroom set, a modern couch/lounge set, and a rotating feature area. Seasonally, we offer outdoor sets on the property, but most of our shoots are indoors. Depending on your session type the studio may be arranged differently to accommodate the style for example, Beauty and Legacy sessions are shot in a more traditional format with backdrops and artificial lighting while Fantastical sessions may have unique set styled to the theme of the shoot.

What does the session fee pay for?

We charge a session fee to book your date and time on our calendar. The session fee does not include any prints, products, or digital photos. Those are purchased separately. The session fee covers your total time at the studio (typically 4-5 hours). This includes hair and makeup styling for your session, the shoot time (typically 1.5 hours), and access to our client closet and prep guides. The session fee also pays for a complete edit and retouch of your photos, as well as, the image reveal appointment, which is when you will come back to the studio to view your completed photos (65-85) and purchase products, prints, and/or digital products.

What is the process like?

Step one is booking. You will pay a session fee to secure your date and time. After that, we will send you our prep guides to help prepare for your session. When you arrive on the day of your shoot, we will talk about outfits and any specific ideas about your shoot. Then we will begin hair and makeup (typically takes 1.5-2 hours). After that, we will start your photo shoot. The shooting portion of your session is approximately 1.5 hours. Once your session is done, we will work together to schedule a date and time for you to return to the studio to view your photos. When you return for your image reveal, you will see your completed gallery and choose the photographs and products you want to purchase. You can pay in full for your order by cash, check, or card, or use our in-house financing. Once payment for your order is complete we will process the order. Delivery time for digital products is typically 1-2 days and printed products (or packages containing printed products) is 4-6 weeks. Orders can be picked up in person from the studio or shipped for an additional shipping charge.

What do I wear/bring?

Once you’ve booked, we will send you our clothing/style guide for your session. The guide gives tips, examples, and options of what we believe works well for your session. We do 3-4 outfits for most shoots, and what the client brings varies. Some clients bring all of their own outfits and accessories, while others prefer to use our client closet of hundreds of items in various colors, sizes, and styles. You may choose one or the other or a mix of the two. Also, we suggest bringing a water bottle and a light snack since the total session time is typically around 4 hours. For some sessions, there are specific (basic) garments we suggest which will be included in the prep guide you receive after booking.

Will my photos be public?

We respect your privacy. Whether or not your photos are allowed to be shared in our marketing or through social media is up to you. During your image reveal appointment, you will have the option to give us permission to use your photos or not. Your images will, however, be viewed by the Angela Blake Studios team as they are edited and processed, as well as, any of the professional photo labs that we use for printed products. The labs we choose are well-established, reputable, industry-leading printers. Particularly in the case of boudoir photos, we select labs that are established within the genre, are not local, and share respect for your privacy.

How much does a (book/album/wall art...) cost?

Generally speaking, our clients purchase their products in some form of package. Packages or “Collections” offer the best value. You get a group of the most popular items for less money than buying them individually. Our package prices start at $950 while individual albums start at $1400. Wall art and individual prints begin at $325. The most common purchase is what we aptly call The Most Popular Package. It includes an album with 35 photos, a keepsake box with printed 4x6 photos, and your entire gallery of photos on a flash drive. Also, with the purchase of any package, you get 30% off any of our add-on products. This is a great way to customize your package and get additional products with quality control through our professional print labs.
